At Staples, I held three roles in marketing and human resources – gift card specialist, credit specialist, and talent acquisition program manager.

As the visual lead, I am responsible for the look and feel of all of the graphics that are posted on social media. I am constantly thinking of new ways to tell stories that are visually appealing and tell the human workplace story.

I have assisted with the social media visual evolution of 1 re-brand in 2019 and 1 brand evolution in 2021.

I have had the pleasure of creating graphics as well as art directing the look and feel of many company-wide campaigns and initiatives.

Staples Careers Website launch is a first of many major projects for our Talent Acquisition team. We have partnered with a new recruitment platform, SmashFly Technologies. They provide many tools to help Staples recruit more efficiently and the external facing careers site is one of them.

I was tasked with building the best careers website that is a one-stop shop for all candidates. I have crafted this with new capabilities, a lot of fresh functionality and most importantly withΒ the candidate journey in mind. The new website is now on par, if not better, with all Staples competitors. It is built with the ability to support ongoing digital evolution. It’s a full-fledged, functioning, modern website. I have designed the structure and layout of every page, as well as the content displayed, and it’s amazing to see my vision come to life.

I partnered daily with SmashFly to design a customizable website, from end to end, and an experience catered to Staples’ recruiting needs.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

Led UAT of both English and French websites. Ensure all functionality is working appropriately and gather feedback from testing groups. Ensure changes are made.

CAREERS WEBSITE LAUNCH

A new website built with the candidate user experience, to develop meaningful relationships with prospective talent, and evoke the Staples story.

Staples previously utilized Symphony Talent’s Hodes service for their careers website. The partnership utilized a WordPress site.

This is the first and only platform Staples Careers has ever used. The look and feel was extremely outdated, lackluster and unable to really convey the Staples story. The updates were hard to make, and more of a “figure it out on your own” methodology.

For a company that has become one of the top eCommerce brands in the industry, our careers website did not embody that same sentiment to our future employees.

Staples’ new partnership with SmashFly technologies is a game changer for their recruitment efforts. With the growing demands of the industry, Staples needed to make some drastic improvements, including theirΒ careers website.

Staples executed a complete redesign of their existing referral program utilizing SmashFly Technologies platform. This meant a full makeover in all marketing;Β  including program name, content, and functionality.

Athlete Network is a great program and platform that allows Staples to support athletes’ future careers.

This platform gives them the ability to see that there are many opportunitiesΒ for themΒ to start their professional career.

Staples’ landing page depicts why we are a great choice for this demographic and also for them to hear about the programs we offer.

 

Staples wants to help athletes find careers they are passionate about. Staples wants to show that athletes have a place within our company in both corporate or retail environments.

Athlete Network helps the candidate pool show that athletes can do more in their professional world. This program helps athletes pursue more opportunities that may push them out of their comfort zone.

At Staples, we already partner with many Universities and Colleges across the country. But to be a part of this network and help athletes learn that Staples can be their next move, is what this partnership is about. Athletes possess unique traits and skills that can be utilized in our large organization.
